Random delivery of flamingos

lazylockdowner · 01/07/2020 16:06

Today I received 2 plastic garden flamingos 🦩 from a company called Denny International no paperwork but addressed to me.. I definitely didn't order them

Last week I had a conversation with my sister about a metal one I wanted from a local garden centre and when she went last night she phoned me from there to say she would pick me one up.

But where did this delivery come from, I've never even done a google search or anything 🤷‍♀️

Ewwww. The phone is listening. Creepy. 👀

MogHog · 01/07/2020 16:07

Do you have an Alexa?

tobee · 01/07/2020 16:10

Have you spoken to ask your sister?

lazylockdowner · 01/07/2020 17:08

Definitely not my sister she phoned me last night when I'm the shop to say they had and she would pick up. Plus she definitely wouldn't of brought plastic ones as they aren't very nice

Yes we have Alexa in house, I don't use it but it's always plugged in as dd is forever putting frozen songs on.

Checked bank account and no can't see anything suspicious

I think you need to kill Alexa TBH.

DustyMaiden · 01/07/2020 17:29

I received an eye mask with built in speakers. Blue tooth. No idea why.

MogHog · 01/07/2020 18:17

Check your amazon account

Redcrayons · 01/07/2020 18:20

I’ve seen something like before, amazon send out weird stuff for people to test. Can’t remember the details.

Anyway just off to chat to DS’s Alexa about diamonds and a new car.

My ndn received bright pink armbands with love hearts on last week Hmm His face was great when he unwrapped the mystery parcel.

YaYaDingDong · 01/07/2020 20:57

Has any money been taken out of your account?

riversandhills · 02/07/2020 16:27

Sometimes companies ship out extremely cheap items to establish a track record of "successful" deliveries. Unnerving but not inherently bad news for a recipient. Agree with YaYaDingDong about checking your accounts though!
