Help with resources for an ADHD child and a mother in her knees

So I have booked an assessment privately with a child psychiatrist for my 10 year old son.

I am on my knees. I won’t go in to the detail but I’m looking at what resources to buy to make his (and my) practically life easier to help with:-

-Him losing everything
-His forgetfulness
-His inability to follow more than one instruction at a time or brush your teeth and get ready for bed. He may just remember to brush his teeth without me reminding multiple times but Almost never both instructions

  • Hatred of sun cream

Many thanks for any pointers as to what I can buy

Could you do a flip chart of bedtime instructions? One instruction per page, such as:

1/ Go upstairs
2/ Clean teeth
3/ Change into PJs
4/ Have a wee
5/ Wash hands and face
6/ Dry hands and face
7/ Get into bed
8/ Cover self with duvet
9/ Go to sleep

Maybe you could do one also for getting ready for school?

Why does he hate su cream? Texture/smell? Does he put it umm himself?
Spray rather than cream. Or long sleeves/loose trousers and sunhat.

Stop giving him more than one instruction at a time.

Go do this, then come back to me. (Which I know is two instructions, but you see what I mean!)

Why is he losing stuff?
Does he have too much? Does he have sufficient storage with a place for everything?
