1yo said first word loads for a few days then stopped

My 1yo proudly turned around a few weeks ago, waved and clear as day said "hiya". He did constantly for 4/5 days, waving and saying hiya and now he still waves but he's stopped saying hiya. I've not been able to get him to say it for over a week. He babbles lots, but that was his only clear word, and his first word and now it's gone. Is this normal?

My kid ised to do this a hiy. He'd 'master' smth, stip doing it, and move in to next thing, or next word. For ex: his first word was dada, said it a couple of vtimes that day, and then stopped. A week later he stared saying just mama, and after another week dada and mama.

Completely normal. He's mastered that one now and it's not exciting for him anymore. Just keep encouraging
