Anyone fancy a 'what can I do with this random ingredient at the back of my cupboard' thread?

I have this caramel stuff. Can't remember why I bought it but short of sticking a straw in it and drinking I'm not sure what to do with it. I could shove a bit in buttercream I suppose but would like some other ideas?

On top of vanilla ice cream?

As syrup in a flapjack recipe?

Make a milkshake

Megatron · 28/06/2020 13:35

Oh I've just seen on the bottle that it actually says it's for coffee. Literally been in my cupboard for about 18 months and I've never noticed.

Or in a hot choc, over pancakes, French toast

Howmanysleepsnow · 28/06/2020 13:39

In hot chocolate? Mixed with milk for caramel milkshake?

purplecorkheart · 28/06/2020 13:42

Could u use it as a flavouring in a cake? To be honest if its in date I would probably just give it away to someone who likes flavoured coffee.

There's loads of ideas on this site

AdaColeman · 28/06/2020 13:48

Add a spoon to sweet & sour sauce, BBQ sticky ribs marinade/sauce, when frying onions to go with burgers, when gazing a ham joint, add to any marinade where you are using honey, drizzle over popcorn, add to baked apples/apple crumble/apple tart, add to chocolate sauce.

Ihavenoidewhatsgoingon · 28/06/2020 17:23

Marinade your tofu and put use it in place of chicken when making Chinese food.

Caramel syrup - drizzle it over hot apple crumble with ice cream
