How to get six month old to have an earlier bed time?

Unsure whether to try or just leave well alone!
DS has his last formula feed at 9/9.30pm then goes to bed. Depending on how long it takes him to eat, he can be in bed for ten or sometimes (less often) at half ten.
He usually sleeps through til 7/8 sometimes with a 3pm wake up where he needs resettling and goes back to sleep

We are very aware how lucky we are with this and don't want to push it but sometimes he seems overtired in the evening

I wanted to try and give him an earlier bedtime then a dream feed for his last feed but unsure how to do it - just give it a bash? He usually eats every three hours or so until his last feed at 9/9.30
When I feed him at 6ish should I take him up then and then use the last feed as the dreamfeed? Is it too much of a jump for bedtime to change that much?

I'm wondering if I should just leave well alone while he's actually sleeping!

Well you could start giving him his last feed a little earlier and see how it goes but to be honest they are all grumpy at that time and as you are getting a great stretch after that I would leave it alone for fear of 5 Am starts!

That's what I'm thinking! If I feed him too early he doesn't eat it all as he's not hungry enough and then wakes hungry and throws everything out

That's what I'm struggling with - the times of the feeds don't really work with an earlier bed time
