UTI Help!

I know this isn't health but you get more replies on here!

I've had what I'm guessing is a UTI come on this evening just out of the blue and my god I'm in agony. I'm going to the toilet every 15 minutes or so and it's burning so much, I haven't had one of these for years so can't really remember if there is anything I should do!

I've managed to get 3 sachets of Cystopurin from a friend round the corner but is there anything else that will help tonight? Even when I've just been to the toilet my bladder feels like it's ready to burst 😫

Will painkillers help?

I'm falling apart at the moment, I've had a terrible headache forever and found out yesterday I need root canal in a dodgy tooth!

Get some D-mannose capsules, I get mine from either Ebay or Amazon, take 2 ×1000mg capsules last thing at night so that they get chance to sit in your bladder overnight, it is a protein that is in cranberry that protects your bladder from bacteria, take 2 every 4 hours if you get a uti, you can take them with antibiotics. If you get resistant to Nitrofuarantin or Trimethoprim, they usually prescribe Co amoxiclav 500/125mg. If you get frequent infections, insist that they prescribe a 7 day course of antibiotics instead of the usual short course.

Beware - I know you haven't done this OP - but a couple of months ago I tried to self treat a UTI and ended up in hospital on an antibiotic drip. Get the antibiotics in fast and soon - it can get very bad very quickly.
