My 3 month old making strange arm movements

My three year old moves on of his arms constantly, sort of up and then down across his body and does it continuously. Is this normal?

I'm not quite sure what you mean about across his body but my baby at that age was known as the baby kraken due to his arm and leg movements - constantly flapping. He is now 7 months and I think going to be a drummer.
