So, do I have to book a table to go to the pub?

When they reopen. It's not very clear.

Either book a table, or just turn up and see if they have one available.

At least one person per table will have to leave proper contact details.

Different pubs will deal with this in different ways. Some might do bookings, but it's likely that all will have a capacity and you will have to queue if you haven't booked and the pub is 'full' when you get there.

I've seen footage of covered areas being put up outside, so maybe they're increasing their beer garden space to keep inside less crowded to allow servers and glass collectors to work without having to push through lots of people standing around as I've also seen that drinks will be served at tables, possibly after being ordered on an app, rather than queuing up at a bar, because the usual pub 'scrum at the bar' isn't going to be allowed and many pubs won't have space for a formal one behind the other queue.
