I know it's an MLM and I really can't abide the predatory tactics. But, is the stuff actually and good or is it shite?

I know someone who has recently started selling it and I won't get anywhere with the MLM argument as to why I'm not buying anything. If I knew it wasn't any good it would be an easier argument.

It is just a 'food' supplement with no benefit.
Similarly creams etc.

(I tried it, for eczema)

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 22/06/2020 21:39

Just say no thanks.

Budapestpest · 22/06/2020 21:39

I went to one of these evenings and the seller tried to sell the shots on the premise that they made you lose weight. But you had to drop all carbs and halve your daily calorie intake.
Need I say more? How stupid do they think we are.
Although someone bought it to try and lose weight Shock

"I am not interested in any if these products and I do not support the company's ethics. Please do not ask again"

Don't try to frame and argument. Your friend is unlikely to be receptive in the first flush and it would be wholly counter productive. Just say no every time. Do not expand on your reasons. Change the subject. If the subject doesn't start changed, you might want to re-evaluate how much younare in contact. Don't cut her off unless you really have to - this may well all come tumbling down and she could probably dowith friends then

I have no bother saying no, but it's family and DH is a sucker as he doesn't want to come across as mean. If I can show him it's a con he's less likely to spend a fortune on nonsense we don't need. I don't get why drinking aloe gel is supposed to be so good.

For a start, it fails on its main promise.

topcat2014 · 22/06/2020 21:44

If it actually did anything, you can be sure boots would sell it.

It's expensive for what it is. But some products are good - I like the heat gel and the anti bac - it smelled really nice I didn't really get benefits from drinking the gel.

It's not a con....but your family member will only make money through you ordering things. Unless it's something you were going to buy anyway it's a false economy.

Honeyroar · 22/06/2020 21:49

It’s just massively over priced and over hyped.

slipperywhensparticus · 22/06/2020 21:53

I love the hand wash a little really does go a long way and I don't get spots like with everything else I've tried but that's it 🤷‍♀️ I was planning on trying a body shop face wash but they called me a menstruator so they can fuck off but I've still got loads of my forever stuff left plenty of time to fine a new fave face wash

MildDrPepperAddiction · 22/06/2020 22:03

Googling the ingredients isn't making them look very good. Fillers and parabens it appears.

beelzeboob · 22/06/2020 22:08

Some of the products are quite good but it’s mega overpriced and you can get just as good stuff for much cheaper
