Did your boobs go back to their normal size after breastfeeding?

I’m going to stop breastfeeding in the next few weeks I think, did your boobs go back to their pre pregnancy size and if so how long did it take?

No, but the rest of me didn't either 😁

HeidiHoNeighbour · 22/06/2020 13:37

It really does vary.

My sister went from a pre pregnancy C to barely an A cup.
I went from pre pregnancy D to end up a JJ and had breast reduction to a C a year later!

Orangedaisy · 22/06/2020 13:39

Mine are the same size. After 2 DDs, 5 years feeding in total.

Yes, they were completely unscathed in the end, but it didn't happen straight away. Dd2 preferred one to the other, it was a bit bigger anyway and she made it worse, but you'd never know now.

Username273451293445z · 22/06/2020 13:40

I stopped breastfeeding about 4 months ago and they are a whole cup size bigger than before pregnancy.

HoHoHolyCow · 22/06/2020 13:42

Mine went back to how they were pre pregnancy. I bf DS2 for 2.5 years.

InDubiousBattle · 22/06/2020 13:43

Sort of, they went back to their pre breastfeeding size but (sadly!)not the same shape. The size of mine seems more related to my weight than breastfeeding.

Bobbybobbins · 22/06/2020 13:43

Mine shrunk back literally 2 days after I stopped bfeeding

HoHoHolyCow · 22/06/2020 13:43

Sorry, I meant to add, they went back to normal after a few weeks.

CrashingCymbals · 22/06/2020 13:48

Mine are definitely less perky and I'd say a cup size bigger than pre pregnancy, but didn't change much from when I was BF at 20 months to 6 months after I'd stopped. The fat distribution has definitely changed though so they are much more bottom heavy/less fullness at the top. I used to be able to go braless but couldn't do that now!

grannycake · 22/06/2020 13:50

Mine did - I bf all three of my children for around 8 months each and my boobs are exactly the same size as they were before 30DD. The youngest is now 34 so a fair while ago

Greylife · 22/06/2020 13:52

I went down 2 cup sizes and up 2 dress sizes after breastfeeding Sad

SinisterBumFacedCat · 22/06/2020 13:54

Mine went up in size but down in direction

80sMum · 22/06/2020 13:55

No! Mine ended up even smaller than they had been before I was pregnant. I went from 32A to 32AA (was 36C while BF).

BlueRaincoat1 · 22/06/2020 13:58

I stopped breastfeeding about 6 months ago. I used to be a C cup, I'm a fairly saggy A now Sad. I really hope they'll go back, but no sign yet. They did after my first ds, but I was pregnant when I stopped bf-ing him.

pigoons · 22/06/2020 14:00

Nope - bigger - like the rest of me!

ExtremelyBoldSquirrels · 22/06/2020 14:00

No. Both times mine increased in cup size and never reduced to their previous size. The rest of me went back to pre-pregnancy size but not my boobs.

Notashandyta · 22/06/2020 14:03

I went from 34d to 36 ff after feeding 3 babies consecutively.

They are proper page 3 boobs, really full and I cant believe my luck after stressing for so long they'd be rocks in socks after!

Mind, I have gained nearly 3 stone so its giveth with one hand and taketh with the other Wink

Doyouavocado · 22/06/2020 14:04

Thank you for the replies! It seems there is no rhyme or reason and just depends on the person really. By the time I give up I would have Only breastfed for about 4 months so I’m wondering if this will play a factor as it is not too long. :)

Mine went bigger during my first pregnancy and stayed that size despite two more pregnancies and breastfeeding all three babies. Any unevenness after breastfeeding sorted itself out eventually.

Doyouavocado · 22/06/2020 14:06

@ExtremelyBoldSquirrels I have a feeling I might be the same, thankfully I lost the weight pretty quickly and back to my normal size ( just a lot more untoned and extra cellulite) but I reckon my boobs will be here to stay like all the women in my family!

34B to 34F to 32B to 34F to 32B. Over 4 years of pregnancy/ BFing.
They've survived surprisingly well.

Shame about the half melted looking waist Grin

Mytholmroyd · 22/06/2020 14:12

I breastfed 4 children but wore a firm sleep bra for many years - eldest is now 30 and I think my boobs are my best feature - 36E still nicely shaped and not saggy just probably lost a bit off the top - but there were times immediately after stopping feeding that I was worried for several months they would be smaller and/or empty. Now my cankles area different story! Sad

Camomila · 22/06/2020 14:35

I was pregnant with DS2 when I stopped bfeeding DS1, I thought they'd stay bigger but they went back to their pre-baby size until the last couple of months before DS2 was born.

GracieLane · 22/06/2020 14:38

Mine have got softer, smaller and saggier. It's a relief for me honestly. I used to look like a barbie doll, all big boobs and no bum. Now my hips are wider, so weirdly is my rib cage, it's like my body has become much better proportioned and more whole and most people don't talk to my boobs anymore? I would have had a breast reduction if they hadn't got smaller. I used to have to sleep in my bra pre-kids because they were so big, heavy and uncomfortable and they always looked fake tbh. I don't want fake looking boobs, I'm happy to be curvier, softer and better proportioned. I'm really happy with my wider hips and bigger bum! I could do with losing some weight really but I have lost it in between each baby and much preferred my more hour glass shape
