UK getaway break for a few days in August?

We live in Kent, 2 young daughters (5 & 2) want to get away for a few days in August, don’t really want to travel anymore than 2-2.5 hours in the car, would love to be near a sandy beach and/or near some fun places or things to do with the girls.

Please let me know your recommendations & a nice accommodation if you know anywhere too!

Broadstairs is nice, although that is in Kent so you might already know it.

If you want to travel further, maybe head over to Paultons Park (assuming it is open) and find a BnB nearby in the New Forest? No beach but a lovely place to visit.
