Please can I see your semi detached single rear extensions?

We are in the process of getting a single storey rear extension on our 1930s semi (approx 4m x 4m).
We currently have an open plan kitchen dining area and living room as our downstairs. I think I would like to put a wall or part wall up to separate the living room and have a new kitchen diner in the extension part (turning the current kitchen dining area into a WC and utility room and space for maybe a sofa or something.)

Has anyone got any pics of what they've done? Would you separate the living room off bow too or have one huge open plan downstairs?

We’ve had builders around but are just waiting for their quotes back.
