Can anyone fact check the third year student nurses' claim?

I've been looking through the HCPC documents from May and it seems that these third year paid placements were only ever going to be until "the end of the summer term" - not the "end of September" as some students are claiming today.

I've also seen it reported that their July wages aren't going to be paid but again can't find anything to back that up. Why wouldn't they be paid their wages? Confused

I have a friend who is a third year AHP (not nursing) who joined the workforce in April as part of the Covid response, in lieu of placement, and her contract was only ever until July 28th.

So I'm just trying to fact check the rumours going round Twitter. Can anyone help?

The "senior nursing school assistants" i.e. Third year nursing student's who have been sent to wards as band 4s until the their PINs come through have just had to apply for band 5 positions this week as they would have done normally on normal completion of their third year at uni. In my trust anyway.

Aha! Turns out it is as I thought.

That’s good to hear @Kurololi.
