Just that really, I've been thinking of stopping it for a while for various reasons and this would be an added bonus, thanks

Yes. Almost half a stone in about 2 weeks. I was thrilled (and have put it back on since - blaming lockdown Grin)

Yes. Almost immediately lost a stone.

I also stopped wanting to kill myself and everyone around m. Never again!

@Billyjoearmstrong ooh I hadn't made that connection. Wonder if I should stop it and see. When did you start to feel better?

@midnightstar66 it took a couple of weeks to get out of my system. But to be honest I started to feel less like I was losing my mind within the week.

I'm just so grumpy and shouty, and also unmotivated. I probably can pin it back to starting the mini pill but here were other factors too. I've been enjoying the no periods but might sacrifice that to see!

no. And I was absolutely fine on it, only had to stop due to age.

effects of drugs are very personal so the experiences of others are of very little value. There are different types of mini pill so you could ask for a change.

No but my mood also significantly improved. I hate the bloody thing. About to get my implant removed too because that has affected me too. I'm done with all progesterone only contraception. Awful stuff.

Saying that, I think I have put on weight since my implant so will be interesting to see if it makes a difference when out.

Redannie118 · 18/06/2020 17:17

Yes about half a stone. I also stopping crying, bleeding constantly and having screaming rages. I also remembered how to laugh and that i actually liked sex and wanted to have it. The mini pill is the work of the devilAngry

Billyjoearmstrong · 18/06/2020 17:28

@Redannie118 that was me as well. I was put on it at my 6 week check after Dd - after a few days I started to feel awful. The Dr said I had PND and wanted me to go on anti depressants. It was only when I told a friend who said stop taking the mini pill - it’s probably that that is making you feel so terrible. She was right.
