Boohoo buys out Oasis and Warehouse

I was gutted when these went into administration - they were always good for fashion forward (but not fashion victim) styles on a budget. Now I hear that boohoo have bought them out and intend to reinvent them!! I just cant rock the Instagram ready reality TV star look! Where else is left for me to shop on the high street?

I feel the same op. I own a lot of Oasis clothing , and whilst I am glad that jobs will be saved , I think it'll become a shop for younger people.

Urgh. I loved warehouse, basically the only place I could buy well cut dresses in a decent fabric for a decent price. Now it’ll be insta shite.

Lucked · 17/06/2020 11:34

They will probably try to maintain the look (and the prices) whilst relentlessly pursuing cheaper fabrics and production. The quality will be shocking and they may move it all on line.

Exactly what Lucked says. It gives them access to a different demographic but they'll start using their own production and fabrics overtime I'd say.

In terms of alternatives, I’ve decided to up my ‘price per garment’ but buy less (because I really don’t want to go lower quality). French connection, Reiss, some bits from Ted Baker. All in the sale though.
