Painting kids furniture?

DC's bedroom furniture is looking a bit tatty. It's a kind of white washed pine- bunk beds, wardrobe and drawers. I would like to give them a lick of paint and wondered if anyone could tell me which kind of paint would be easiest to apply and last well.
Wondering about gloss, satin or something else?
Thank you

I use Frenchic paint for all kinds of interior painting, is so easy to use and very hard wearing. Only available via local stockists or on their website though. Lots of nice colours and a none shiny finish.

That sounds perfect. Thank you. I will have a look. Smile
