Anyone else find it hard work being an educated citizen? (lighthearted)

2020 has been quite a year, with BLM and coronavirus. I was thinking about my reading list, and it struck me how hard it is to be educated and keep up with all the things I need to know in order to be a good educated citizen.

This year, I've got to read about the history of the slave trade and all about epidemics, the R rate and vaccines. Last year, I needed to learn all about the Irish Border , and the year before that, I had to read up on the history of the EU and international trade. Anyone else find this too much?

I know what you mean. I would like someone to explain to me (preferably in words of one syllable Grin) what all the fuss is all about with J K Rowling and The Body Shop.

Can't manage it in words of one syllable but basically J.K.Rowling said that only women have periods and the Body Shop kindly informed her that she was wrong and that men have periods too.

Thank you. I just needed a short precis and not links to lengthy articles.
