Twitter - how to use?? Bamboozled by the thing. Specifically, would like to complain (wouldn't we all?)

I have a twitter account that I created three years ago and never used. I'm currently brassed off with a particular company and by the looks of things, so are thousands of others. I'd like to add my own tweet to the ever growing list of disgruntled people who can't seem to get any response from this company. But I don't know how to!

I can see the option to 'tweet' but don't know how to add the tweet to the thread (if that's what it's called on Twitter). I found my fellow disgruntled by searching on the company name, so can now read everyone's grievances but am unable to chuck my own into the mix.

You can also just "reply" to any existing tweet and it'll include the @names of everyone up the replies chain.
