Hello
Hoping to go to ikea in Milton Keynes in a couple of weeks. Only problem is it will be on a Saturday. Has anyone been since it reopened and how crazy busy is it please? I am hoping by the time I go it will have been open a month plus other shops will also be open so it might keep away some people who just go for a day out but don't really need anything!

If you can go in the early evening, it will probably be fine but I'd expect it to be crazy busy from opening time to around 4/5 pm ish.

I went to another Ikea at 5.30 pm last Saturday and queued for under a minute to get it, took shortcuts to pick up the couple of items that I wanted and virtually no queue at the checkout either.

I use the fact that 'everyone' goes at certain times to my advantage and just go at another time. I'm obviously very grateful for people doing that and wouldn't like them to change what they do, but it does make me wonder why most people do things at the same time.

Do they not mind the queues? Is that really the only time they are able to go? I know some people have routines with food and bedtime for DC, but if the only time I could go to Ikea was the middle of the day on a Saturday, I just wouldn't go.

I went to a different one and on a Tuesday. Arrived at about half 4, queued for no more than 10 mins (approx 80 in queue ahead of me). Very civilised in store for getting around. The queue at the tills took around 15 mins but the person I had seemed especially slow, other queues were moving faster. When I came out at about 6 there was no queue to get in.

If you can only go on a Saturday then I'd leave it until at least 5 to get there.

My husband went to MK IKEA a couple of weeks ago (baby is due soon and we needed some things!). He went on a weekday to avoid a busy Saturday and he queued for about 20 mins. He said it was the nicest IKEA experience he's ever had. Maybe going later in the day like others have suggested
