What are the best bed sheets in your opinion?

After 6 years of an awful awful bed, agonising back and leg pain and no sleep. We've finally managed to upgrade sour mattress 🙌🙌🙌 OMG it's like sleeping on a hotel bed. DH who usually moves all bloody night long slept like a log and didn't snore. My back doesn't hurt and I can feel both feet!

So to celebrate this momentous event I want to buy some amazing sheets. Please help me!

I bought THESE sheets from John Lewis last year. Very smooth and comfortable . I never iron them .

Minimum 600 thread count 100% Egyptian or Indian cotton. No synthetic material because it doesn't breathe.

Second what aquamarine said and marks January sale are usually a good place to buy them.

600 thread count 100% cotton percale. Otherwise, actual linen, but it's hugely expensive.

Soak and sleep quite often has good sheets - don't worry about missing the 'sale' because there always is one. The best sheets I own are from Christy, 400 TC cotton percale, but are about 15 years old so I don't know if they still do them and mine came from a mill anyway.

Tk max is always worth a look. I bought some amazing frette ones from there last year. They often have Christy in stock too

what mattress did you get ?

My0My · 14/06/2020 17:11

The White Company. 100 percent cotton with no man made fibres. 400 thread count plus. They won’t last forever and you do need to replace a bottom sheet. They take a lot more hammering than a duvet cover. You might find decent ones in the sales.

Dontlickthetrolley · 14/06/2020 17:16

Please let us know what mattress you bought. I got an Emma mattress 10 days ago and not sure I'm keeping it, I want the slept on a hotel mattress feel and this is not that and the pillows are too hard too!

ItsLeviooosar · 14/06/2020 17:51

We got this one. DH didn't move last night it was amazing no constant tossing and turning!
