What has Alexa put on my shopping list?

I use Alexa to store my shopping list. I have the DCs and DH trained to add things on if they finish them, and then I use it for my online order.

However this week it has "Witch" on it. What have I or someone else said to be misheard as Witch? Concerned I'll miss a vital something from my shopping!

Sandwich
Quiche
Crisps
Fish

Don't tend to buy any of those items except crisps. And they were on separately.

Do you know when it was added? If you have the Alexa app on your phone you can go through your history and play back the recording. Which is creepy, but handy.

Bleach

PrincessWatermelon · 13/06/2020 22:01

@Hobbes8 ooo...I had no idea that was a thing!!! It would have been sometime in the last week. Earlier half, judging by the fact it was one of the first on the list.

I wondered about bleach, but we have quite a lot under the sink already.

go on the alexa app and click on activity. find where it says Alexa add witch to my shopping list and click more. there is a play button and you can hear the command.

Yeah if you go to the menu on the app and click activity there’s a list of things (mine are mostly songs we’ve played) and you can click “more” on each item and play back the voice command. That’s what it looks like on an iPhone anyway.

So you should see a listing that says “add witch to shopping list” and hopefully be able to listen to the recording that goes with it.

It comes in handy when the kids set themselves a reminder and Alexa pipes up with some gibberish two days later.

Walkerbean16 · 13/06/2020 22:07

maybe one of your kids added a switch 😁

PrincessWatermelon · 13/06/2020 22:08

I've just had a look, but all the activities are us asking it to play music or songs. There are no shopping list adds recorded at all. Boo!

or sweets?

PrincessWatermelon · 13/06/2020 22:11

Could be sweets, actually...I added and bought them last week, but it's quite possible the kids added them. Switch - I like that idea! Mine are too young (or too sheltered!) to know what one is, fortunately!
