and a sleepover, what would you feed them?

We've already had pizza and spaghetti bolognese this week.

I need filling and easy food to feed huge appetites! And snacks.

Help!!!

OP posts:

I don’t understand, you’re not allowed anyone for a sleepover at the moment

ssd · 12/06/2020 23:02

Where do you live, NZ?

PurpleDaisies · 12/06/2020 23:03

Chilli or some sort of fajita type stir fry with rice, tortillas, spicy potato wedges, nachos, corn on the cob, grated cheese, salsa, guacamole, sour cream etc...

DonLewis · 12/06/2020 23:06

Jacket potatoes, loads. With plenty of fillings (in terms of volume!) baked beans or chilli, mountains of cheese, coleslaw, bit of side salad.

Either that or a massive curry if they all eat it.

Failing that a biryani, can be quite mild and has the advantage of being one dish, straightforward prep, bung in the oven.

AvoidingRealHumans · 12/06/2020 23:06

I'd probably do pizza again because I'm lazy.
If not then chicken wraps always goes down well.
Crisps, sweets and chocolate for snacks with a few bottles of lemonade.

Hopefully this is a fun sleepover and not a health retreat type sleepover, if the latter then I have no idea what to feed them, too long in lockdown 🤪

HoneysuckIejasmine · 12/06/2020 23:08

Erm, pizza with a side of PPE?

Pikachubaby · 12/06/2020 23:09

I did macaroni cheese this week for 8 (for 5 teens, recipe for 8), with home made coleslaw and garlic bread. And choc ices

edwinbear · 12/06/2020 23:09

Hot dogs and nachos Grin

KimKsButt · 12/06/2020 23:10

Defo pizza!! Normal rules dont apply when it’s a sleepover. Doritos, popcorn etc for snacks. Obvs the more junk they eat the louder they will be and longer they will be awake Confused

Bbq1 · 12/06/2020 23:10

A sleepover? Why would you?

mycatthinksshesatiger · 12/06/2020 23:11

Are you living in a parallel universe where lockdown is over? I don't understand....

gaggiagirl · 12/06/2020 23:16

Do pizza again with garlic bread and some chicken goujons and tray of donuts

ssd · 12/06/2020 23:16

She's either abroad or taking the piss.

GreyishDays · 12/06/2020 23:17

Maybe she’s the single aunt?

How about sausages and mash/rolls.

Sparklingbrook · 12/06/2020 23:17

I would just get a take away delivery of their choosing.

Jingstohang · 12/06/2020 23:34

No idea what to eat, but make sure the beer is corona.

YummyVeggie · 12/06/2020 23:36

Are you just looking for inspiration for your own kids? How about burgers and chips?

Ghostbuster123 · 12/06/2020 23:37

Crisps dips popcorn. Nothing with chilli. You don't want toilet trouble haha

GetUpAgain · 12/06/2020 23:37

I can only think they are your nephews and you are making a bubble with them. Because (a) coronavirus and (b) everyone who has teenagers knows sleepover food = takeaway.

ineedaholidaynow · 12/06/2020 23:37

@Jingstohang Grin

AreYouLocal2 · 12/06/2020 23:40

cottage pie

YellowHats · 12/06/2020 23:41

Im sure this exact thread was posted before? Im so confused, especially as sleepovers arent really happening atm

Kpo58 · 12/06/2020 23:42

Maybe OP pressed Post 6 months ago and it's only just come through now as a board?

DamnYankee · 12/06/2020 23:55

Whether or not the OP can do sleepovers is not the point...Hmm

Build your own tacos/burritos with chips and queso.
Nachos also great
I do think baked/jacket potatoes are a super idea...and you can use your leftover taco/burrito toppings, too!
Build your own sub sandwich with potato chips/crisps
Make your own sundae for dessert.

Big on DIY, clearly...Smile

DamnYankee · 13/06/2020 00:07

I am not sure why every question has to be answered by the Corona Police? It isn't logical or helpful:

OP: "What kind of wine should I serve at my wedding?"
CP: "You know you can't have a wedding right now, right?"
OP: "Should I consider a pixie cut this summer?"
CP. "Are you really going to a hairdresser's? How irresponsible!"
OP: "My daughter wants to try a dance class. Tap or ballet?"
CP:
