Carpet laying and furniture

I know they can sometimes work around furniture- is bunk beds too much? I just can’t imagine being able to take them down and rebuild them myself.

Anyone know?

It depends how big the room is. Is there room for them to push them over while they do one half then push them back for the other? I had a large sofa in my front room and that's the method they used for that.

Can you split the top and bottom bunk? They won't be able to work around them as they can't really be lifted over to the other side, there isn't enough clearance before they hit the ceiling. In two bits it would be possible. Also depends on the size of the room, whether there is room enough to work.

Hmm.
They can be separated but that would take up most of the room.

Annoying as the room is so desperate to be done.

Can they be separated then stored on their side? Or at least the smaller of the 2 pieces dragged into another room.
I've never had new carpets, but I would imagine most carpet fitters would help you do this?

Yes on their side or end is a good idea. I’m not convinced they’ll be keen to help sadly.

I had a new carpet fitted last year in DS room. When I ordered it I was told the room had to be empty. The fitter called half an hour before arrival to say that they were on their way (as agreed) and also asked if the room was empty. It was. He said often it isn’t When they arrive, despite the instructions, and he refuses to fit carpets in those situations.

I would check with the company what they will / will not do rather than ask MN users!!
