This is just a rant thread. I know, I know, it's not a healthy place to start. But I was looking for work during the last recession and I'm not surprised people got so angry.
Just the levels of bull you have to go through to find a job. Endless rejections, endless applications who never even send you a "thanks but no thanks", sometimes no reply even after an interview.
Horrible HR people, awful recruitment agencies who waste your time, pretend they're interested in you and then never contact you again.
All the articles about how to improve your job prospects, which are slightly helpful to a certain point but then why can't they just admit what the real problem is? There aren't enough jobs to go round.
Worst of all, the way unemployed people are blamed for being unemployed. The fewer jobs are available, the more it happens. It doesn't make sense.
I know, I don't exactly look like a great candidate from this thread. This is just a rant thread though. I know how to be professional.
It's just so difficult to even get started when I know how much rubbish I'm going to encounter.
