Definition of racism

prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

Is race defined as between people of different colour or of different nationalities?

My sister is white had to take employer to court for race discrimination when she lost her job, her case was proved.

I met a woman who moved to Wales and she experienced racism because they thought she was English.

I was brought up in a part of the country where racism didn’t exist, I never knew it existed until I moved to a city as an adult. I abhor discrimination of any kind.

And yet here you are claiming it didn’t exist and banging on about racism against white people...

I think words like racist are used everyday now because we have Twitter etc and its considered indefensible even if it isnt racisn. I've never been racist my entire life but the amount of name calling over this BLM campaign is really starting to annoy me.

There are a lot of people who say “I’ve never been racist, I’ve never heard anyone make racist comments” etc etc

But there is so much casual racism it passes a lot of people by

Like my ds (16) on a video call with his football team, a professional, EFL academy team, who’s guest speaker started the session by saying to one of the black players, who joined the call one minute before it started, oh you are here, I though you might be out looting and who went on to say, whilst giving an example of his own career- not to be racist but I had to steer clear of the young black players with their rap music in case I was tarred with the same brush

Or the coach last year saying to my DS and 2 other players, all black or mixed race- are you trying to intimidate the other team with your drill music

Or my DS being told the “ethnic” players need to stop wearing sliders and headphones as it gives the wrong impression to other people

Trust me, everyday racism exists for a LOT of people

Gilets
I stated where I grew up it didn’t exist, I didn’t state it didn’t exist, and I wasn’t banging on about racism against white people. I was trying to open a discussion, as I see it discrimination happens to everyone no race or nationality is exempt.

@Gilead she didn't claim it didn't exist, she clearly stated that she didn't know it existed till she moved to the city...
