What would you retrain as?

Just musing that if I lost my job, it's in a sector where just a year out means I'd never really get back in again, so it would be best to do something else. But what kinds of things do you think would be worthwhile?

(I'm shit at maths so accountancy is definitely out )

Technology - will be round forever.

I would look in your area at job ads and see how many there are paying above 40/50k.

In my area, it would be quantity surveyors and town planners.

Project planners also get excellent day rates but a lot of the contracts rely on contacts.

Technology is very broad - I would emphasise data science or data analysis roles.
