Are kids DVD players still useful?

DD (3) has lots of dvds that we can't watch as our DVD player doesn't work and we have Netflix/Prime/iPlayer/Disney+ so it's not a need but the movies she likes, such as Scooby Doo, aren't on these channels but the programmes she likes are. I don't know if it'd be worth buying her a DVD player to watch them on or not? She does have a tablet too but it needs replacing as the screen is cracked. Are they still worth it or not really needed anymore?

I think that they are.
Like you say not all favourite films will be shown on TV.
With care the player should last a long time too.

I would say that they could be useful too. You may pick up a cheap one on Freecycle/Gumtree/Ebay .
( just realised this is my second post this morning about recycling.....every little helps Smile )
