so, despite referencing two completely separate sugarcubes songs in my post i realise it's neither...

secret it IS the sugarcubes...and I seem to recall that there was a little controversy about the sing when it came out , as the lyrics could be construed in different ways

yes rift i put the first lp on in the end, which led to the realisation.
aside from highlighting that i listen(ed) to different bands/songs in different ways and degrees, what i like about threads like this and the Music WAG ones is they bring phrases, titles and bands to mind that are apparently lodged deep in the recesses... and sometimes they still sound great...
