Just thought I'd share my very recent experience.

I've only just seen this news headline today, I had no clue when I ordered a couple of things from them online yesterday.

When it came to paying for the things by Paypal I got a notice saying 'payment not authorised,' And was taken back to the Monsoon page where my order total was. So I tried again, same thing. So I tried my credit card, same thing 3 times.

Messaged Monsoon on twitter and got a reply asking for my details...since then nothing.
Now today I receive an email from Monsoon reminding me to buy the things in my basket...it's the items they've charged me 5 times for. The order obv hasn't gone through.

This happened to me a few weeks ago. I was desperate to spend a gift card I’d been given for Christmas and being as no chance in getting to the actual shop with it being shut. I was paying the remainder of the balance by credit card and also got the ‘not authorised’ message, when it was on the 3D secure page. I was concerned that my gift card had been redeemed and would be lost. Strangely, there is a notice on their website about payments not going through properly, so it’s something they are aware of. I them emailed them but realised that improbably would not get a reply for some time. Tried again the next day and tried to pay the balance by PayPal instead. It went through this time and the gift card was accepted again too. To be honest I really struggled to actually find something I wanted to buy! I’m the end I got a blue pattered dress with a handkerchief hem, as it was half price, I’m really pleased with it. Can you try calling their customer services I’m the morning to see if they have any record of your order? Hopefully the payments won’t have all gone through.

Had no idea of the administration, by the way. Shame but not all together surprising. My local store closed a couple of years ago and before then had hardly any customers in there when I visited.

I like Monsoon but haven't bought anything from them in the years since they stopped selling petites in-store. I could go camping in what they think is a regular size "8".

I don't buy blind online as I CBA with returning 90% of the stuff that doesn't fit/ sit well.

High St stores have done excellent jobs of shooting themselves in the foot in the past decade.

Their customer service phone lines are closed, it's just email or Twitter from what I can gather.

Cynical me is wondering why their tech folks haven't sorted out these over-payment problems if they've had them since at least Christmas.
