Dried years old paint on dark hardwood floors. How to remove?

Have tried going at it with soapy water and a scraper to no avail. There's so many little splatters all over it that must of been there years. Any one got any tricks?

White spirit might help.

Is it just drops, or are the floorboards painted?

You might have to lightly and the floor and revarnish or seal.

Drops. But lots of them!

Will try white spirit to start with

Or you might find that they pop up with judicious application of a Stanley blade.

white spirit will not remove dry gloss paint, either try and scrape with a blade or use a paint remover like nitromoors (may need more than one application since eu regs made it less powerful)
