Fledging thrush spotted this am by DH on high wall, being fed by mum and dad thrush.
All afternoon fledging has been on a low wall by the lawn, lying down as such (like he was in a nest). Mum and dad still around.
Is this normal? We he eventually fly away?
Obviously we have stayed inside, not easy as gorgeous day and I’m off work and wanted to sit outside and read my book.
They keep calling to each other like mad! I’m worried it isn’t flying?
Thanks.

Fledglings often spend a few days on the ground before flying. The parents will be feeding it

Yes, they were feeding it. But we have a cat!!
It appears to have flown off whilst DH was outside on a work call, thank goodness.

I have 2 cats and dread the fledgling time of year. Saw a starling fledgling in the garden yesterday but it managed to squash itself through the slats of the fence into next doors garden so hopefully it survived.
