What are you up to on this beautiful day?

We're off for a picnic on the park at dd2's request (large park, plenty of space to keep to ourselves). I'm just off up to wake the girls up in a mo.

When we get in, I'll re-paint the pantry door that's still patchy and maybe iron my new fabric.

Anyone else up to much? :)

Working!

Breathmiller · 26/05/2020 10:51

I'm sitting in my garden right now with a cuppa looking over the fields and hills. Its bliss.

Which is about to be shattered by a trip to Tesco. Ach well.. needs must and all that. The fields and the hills (and hopefully the sunshine) will still be here when i get back.
Maybe potter in the garden.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 26/05/2020 10:54

About to get my umbrella so I can queue outside Sainsbury's without getting wet.

AdalindMeisner · 26/05/2020 10:58

Its gray and drizzly here. I'm finishing an assignment and then when that is submitted we are doing the coke and mento experiment Grin The kids idea not mine!

AriettyHomily · 26/05/2020 10:59

Working. I've just booked a day off on Friday so hoping the decent weather lasts!

SpencerReidsMistress · 26/05/2020 10:59

Where are you that it's raining @Ihopeyourcakeisshit . I am going to go for a walk later. However it will be up in a field near a park because the beach is going to get absolutely rammed by lunch time.

middleager · 26/05/2020 11:00

It's nice here. We've all been clinging on for half term just to get off the wheel.

We're also having a picnic and visiting a waterpark (had to pre book car park as it's limited numbers and hours).

Cannot wait though hoping weather doesn't turn.

Enjoy your day OP!

roarfeckingroar · 26/05/2020 11:01

It's a beautiful day and I'm in a six hour Microsoft Teams meeting 😩

Knittingnanny · 26/05/2020 11:04

Retired couple but not shielding couple here. Got up late, having cup of tea and breakfast in our tiny suint garden.
I’m going to do a bit of sewing then another cup of tea. Bike ride along the sea front via 2 adult children’s house to social distance wave at chat at the garden gate.
Back for more tea in the garden, get the dinner, FaceTime one lot of grandchildren in USA, then watch the new series of “A house through time”

Waxonwaxoff0 · 26/05/2020 11:15

DS has gone to his dad's. I'm on furlough so will go for a walk in the sun, maybe sit outside and read my book. Then I need to start clearing out some drawers as we are moving house in a month.

Windyatthebeach · 26/05/2020 11:17

Currently watching Greatest Showman and eating popcorn!! Then taking dc +dpuppy for a short beach walk - and splash.
Tackling the kitchen when we get back after a big family meal last night as ds has returned to army training today..
Sad

lazylinguist · 26/05/2020 11:19

Grey and drizzly here too. Just been to Aldi. It's supposed to be nicer for the rest of the week though.

Ariela · 26/05/2020 11:24

Working from home. Got to go in shortly, so won't have time for lunch.
Home, cook tea, water plants (again) then got a committee meeting on Zoom - is it awful to actually prefer zoom meetings? That'll take a couple of hours, might get an early night, or might get ahead on tomorrows work for a couple of hours. We're far busier and have 1 staff furloughed - yet we all seems to be being more productive and doing 2x the work.

TravellingSpoon · 26/05/2020 11:31

Working. With the heat of the building and all the PPE I wish it was winter.

Breathmiller · 26/05/2020 11:32

roarfeckingroar
Oh nooo!! I feel your pain. I teach online classes over Zoom and the only place I can do it is in my attic space with the blind shut. Some weekends when I've been teaching all day it has been glorious out in the garden and I am stuck in a boiling hot dark attic.
Hope the sun is still out in full force when your meeting finishes

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 26/05/2020 11:34

Lancs @SpencerReidsMistress

Turtlesone · 26/05/2020 11:41

Currently sitting in the garden whilst dc play in the paddling pool. Avoiding the beach today as it’s probably very busy!

PhoneLock · 26/05/2020 11:44

Sat at my desk indoors preparing a lecture.

ClientQ · 26/05/2020 11:45

Grey and rain here. Working from home so taking 1001 calls!

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 26/05/2020 11:46

In bed with a hot water bottle.

Not long finished a 24 hour shift, cleaned downstairs of the house, knackered and being tired makes me chilly.

moveandmove · 26/05/2020 11:49

It's really warm and sunny here. I'm inside working from home.

Mitsouko67 · 26/05/2020 11:55

Gorgeous day alright.
Wfh and really busy but my computer has gone down. I've let IT and my boss know. Stressed about work atm.
Aaargh!

Mumsnetting now.
Errands in a little while.

Checking work emails on my phone intermittently.

Mitsouko67 · 26/05/2020 11:57

Feel better lightside

KoalasandRabbit · 26/05/2020 11:59

Well so far DS has checked on our silkie pullets (chickens) and they've now laid their 4th egg, first egg three days ago. DD came to ask my advice on cutting your own hair and now she's just shown me she's cut off half her hair Shock but it looks good and she's busy group chatting friends about it.

DH is working from home. I'm just catching up on various admin things then probably watch National Geographic films on Disney.

ScarfLadysBag · 26/05/2020 12:02

We were up and out early with dog to go round the forest. Now DD is due her nap so I will get some work done and then we are going to bake some chocolate tarts from our baking subscription and eat them in the garden in the sun Grin
