Can anyone recommend anything? Last one I listened to was Hilary Mantel Wolf Hall trilogy which I enjoyed. I also really enjoyed The Year of living Danishly - well read and funny.

Joy Ellis Fens ones, read by Richard Armitage are excellent.

Don't use Audible though, lots of other audiobook suppliers out her including free ones such as BorrowBox.

For me the Falco series by Lindsey Davis. The minutiae of Roman life fascinate me. There are 20 books in the Marcus Didius Falco series and a further 8 currently in the Flavia Albia series.
