Safety of Women/Children re. Single Sex Spaces Being Removed

Hello there,

I was wondering whether it's possible, via Mumsnet, to start up a list of schools/colleges/universities/dress shops/restaurants/public toilets/gyms/swimming pools/cinemas/theatres, etc., who've closed down their 'women only' spaces entirely, or, who now allow men into our spaces?

I know this is causing deep stress to many women, particularly young girls in our education system, where more and more schools are going 'gender neutral'. Some young girls not drinking all day long, so they don't have to use these toilets, worried and anxious, deeply embarrassed too. I'm sure some boys/young men hate such facilities also.

This is putting women, and our children/grandchildren, at grave risk of predators/perverts/paedophiles, in my view.

I was horrified to learn, just the other day, that some Trans Activists are visiting what used to be 'women only' changing rooms and taking delight in masturbating in them, (they even post photos on Twitter) knowing that women will use those same cubicles, totally unaware of what they've been doing, or have 'left behind' on seats/walls of these now unisex changing rooms.

Women need 'single sex spaces' for a reason, to protect us, to provide privacy and dignity. They are NOT spaces for any man to be in, be they men who say they are trans, or not.

We need an easily accessible list, perhaps in a blog form, so that Mums & Dads can find out instantly which places are willing to put women/children in danger, denying us our rights, as women, to be kept safe.

Once a list is there, we must all take a part in either boycotting these places, or demanding they change back to 'single sex spaces' ASAP.

If it could become a National Campaign, that would be even better, if we can get it to become thus, as this would carry a lot more weight and might even get the mainstream media to stand with us for the safety of Women and Children.

Anyone have any ideas on the best way to proceed?

Thank you

Ellen

Also, can Mumsnet, as an organization, take on The Dept of Education in regard to some of the shocking and deeply concerning subjects now being taught to children/young people, I wonder?

I'm particularly concerned about children being told there are 100 Genders and that they might be 'in the wrong body', alongside being told about porn, one school in particular asking children to do homework on this subject (!!). There have also been schools allowing Drag Queens in to read to children, yet, the Drag Scene is highly sexual/pornographic/perverted, so WHY are such people allowed anywhere near children? What is the point behind it, the agenda?

It would appear that Stonewall has a hand in everything children/young people are being told now, in relation to sex education, along with Mermaids too, both of whom are hugely promoting the Trans Agenda.

Some very disturbing things have come into public knowledge in recent months and we need, as parents/grandparents, to stand up and protect children, to ensure absolute safeguards are in place for them and that parents are fully informed as to what their children are being taught in regard to sexual/gender matters.

We ARE that 'someone else' most people wait for.

This has to be done by parents, in conjunction with putting pressure on political Parties too, as many of them are backing some deeply concerning, and in my view, 'grooming' behaviour now being taught to children and young people.

Thank you again
Ellen

Don't talk twaddle.

I re read the OP after seeing your comment SweetPetrichor and couldn't find any twaddle.

Maybe you could be more specific about which part you think is wrong?

You might get more sensible, informed responses if you re post in FWR OP.

Well done OP but be prepared for your post to disappear or be jumped on by the woke. You should take a look at the Feminist Chat boards on here for other people concerned about this too. It's not just a feminist issue and affects us all.

LaPufalina · 26/05/2020 09:46

Hi Ellen, agree with BBB, post on the feminism board. Lots going on! Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne is on board now, and Liz Truss has made positive moves, so things are feeling a bit more hopeful in terms of safeguarding, along with the pulling of toolkits from schools that contravene the Equality Act 2010. Stonewall's regulatory capture will take a while to unravel... I only found out about all of this through mumsnet and now I'm quite active in terms of getting the word out in real life, donating to campaigns, signing petitions and boycotting companies that don't want women as customers.

This is a good idea. There is a co-ordinated campaign by trans rights activists to target Mumsnet advertisers and ultimately defund the site and gave it close. The dairy company, Arla, have stood firm under pressure but Flora pulled out. It's not clear whether Audible are still advertising with Mumsnet. Every advertiser is being targeted with emails and tweets.

I've been on Mumsnet since 2010/2011. I've seen on the whole, great kindness and support to women. That means nothing to the largely male group that will not tolerate any criticism or concerns over the trans rights agenda. Look at Adrian Harrop on twitter, wants to close it all down.

"Don't talk twaddle."

I'm not. This is now MEGA serious and every parent in the UK should be on major alert over what's been going on.

Why do you feel it's 'twaddle', please?

Thank you. Yes, I've heard Mumsnet are being targeted by those who are desperate to suppress what's going on, and have seen many of the posts of Dr. Adrian Harrop too, a GP. His outlook staggers me. He appears, in my viewn, to have no understanding, or concern, for the danger women and children are now in. I cannot fathom him out...and find it deeply distressing that any doctor would feel this way.

The way they're threatening advertizers is shocking. This is how Suppressors/Oppressors work, creating fear everywhere. We HAVE to stop them doing this, somehow.

We need a list of companies/stores/councils, etc. who DO support Women and Children, which can also be passed around...and we, in turn, must support such good people who care about u s.
