Just watched 50 shades of gray

Haven't read the books before. Found it a bit odd.

What do other people think?

Like Twilight I thought it was a good adaptation of the source material, shame about the source material.

The acting wasn't great - a bit stilted and there wasn't any real chemistry between the "Christian" and "Anna" actors.

They were more like a normal couple and his pleasure room must have been gathering dust! No edge to it

Cant bear S&M fiction, if any guy hit me for whatever reason I'd deck him!

If they'd really wanted to adapt the book accurately it would have had to have been a high budget porn.

We watched it a couple of months ago. Didn't do much for us!

50 shades is Twilight fan fiction, glorified abuse and is in no way reflective of the safe, sane, consensual BDSM scene.

If anyone actually thinks this is what BDSM is then they need to educate themselves.

Ive always avoided reading the books and watching the film. What put me off most was all the......oh naughty naughty page xxx, ooh naughty Mr Gray etc posts by family and some friends on Facebook

I’ve never managed to make it through the film, but what I have seen looks kind of low budget. More like ITV made it than a pretty Hollywood movie. I found the same with Twilight funnily enough, it’s all kind of flat and grey with ropey special effects.

That should be pretty high budget. ^
