What don't you love about your Shark Liftaway?

I've had mine two weeks and used it nearly every day. My sister totally loves hers. Im not sure if Im missing a trick with it. I do really like it but I have two issues. The attachments or even just the wand is it short or is it me? If I want to clean the corners on my landing above me the Henry had no problem reaching but the Shark doesnt get close the pipes short. Also when I lift it away to do the stairs it topples over easily.

I thought it was supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread. Has anyone else found the same thing?

It's a solid piece of kit even if the headlights do show up the fluff. However it's corded and doesn't even have an automatic retracter and the pipe is way too short. Also, the roller keeps jamming with hair and it's really heavy to keep up- ending to cut the roller free.

I wonder if they sell pipe extentions?

I haven’t had the problem with the pipe teaching but I don’t have tall ceilings. When using the lift away on the stairs I just carry the lift away part in one hand whilst hoovering with the other one.
I always forget to clean the filter and I have to wait a day for it to dry before I can hoover again.

I like it apart from the fact it is too heavy for me. I don't know how I didn't realise when I bought it.

i have a big problem with roller jamming with hair. have been looking at new one with hair guard thingy but can’t really justify a new one yet

the roller keeps jamming with hair

Yup. Seems like I have to clean it at least twice a month.

Roller doesn't jam more than our Dyson did.

yeah I guess the reach is a bit short but main thing is that we easily bash into things, and it feels kind of flimsy. These are minor points. It's been quite good so far, and so much quieter than absurd Dyson motor was.

Beingslightlymad · 22/05/2020 18:46

It’s heavy to push on thick carpets. Plus the motor on our roller broke in the first week after pushing it on a shaggy rug . The strands got caught which broke the motor. I got a new one sent but find if anything gets caught it jams. It’s preferable to My previous Miele as I prefer an upright hoover but tbh I mainly still use my lightweight cordless GTECH.

It's to heavy and hard to move. Mine is 3 years and I hate it. Can't wait to change it.

Same position I'm in. It does tip easily, but I overlook that and DH empties it so tbh I am not that bothered by the hair thing (it is dd's hair mainly not mine). Finding accessories isn't easy though, I have loads for the Dyson, but no extras for the shark.

My Henry has tubes twice as long however he is even heavier.

Any tips on washing the filters do you do all three?
