My results were due to come back today. Will the doctors have looked at them by this time? I’m assuming I would have had a call if these anything seriously wrong by low.

Depends on the type of test and how your surgery is working during covid. Some doctors are remote working and will have different time schedules. Usually if something is urgent pathology will make sure there is an alert sent. It would do no harm in ringing them and asking to see if they are back. Receptionist can access this info.

Depends they might be back til this afternoon, our surgery asks to call back after 3 for test results

My doctors always says I will hear from them but never do! So I always end up ringing them for them to say everything is fine, give it a few days or ring them if you want but I’d just take it as no news means good news xx

my doctors usually asks me to call after 2pm for blood results to make sure they've been looked at. if its anything urgent, they call me first though

Thank you, still haven’t heard from them so I’m assuming they are okay.

They didn’t have them back unfortunately so now I’m left worrying till Tuesday at least.

It's important that you ring in for your results. Mornings are busy and doctors often look at their results after morning surgery or in the early afternoon. Because normal working is on hold it could even been later, I suggest ringing your surgery at 3-3 on Tuesday. Don't rely on someone ringing you .

Yes I definitely plan to call them again on Tuesday. I assume though if it’s urgent they would call?

They phoned my mum when she got bloods that results showed she needed immediate hospitalisation by ambulance. So yes I think they probably would phone if they had the results and they were very concerned.

But I wouldn’t leave it in case it’s been lost or something en route to the lab and may need them done again.

Defo phone them but don’t worry yourself sick.
