Just that really.

My son went on a school trip last year and had an amazing time. The teacher took loads of photos and I wanted to make a photo book for him, but I vaguely remember seeing one where you could write beside the photos.

Does anyone know where I can get one please?

Thank you!

You can add text to photo books from Photo Box.

ilovelibraries · 20/05/2020 11:47

Thanks @nix32. I thought that but I can only see the ones that have text printed on, not that is printed with space for him to write on them. Unless I'm completely missing them?

Oh ok, I misunderstood. How about arranging the page with blank text boxes or photo spaces. You can have the background whichever colour you like.

I am not sure if you mean a digital photo book, or one where you can stick your own photos in?

A old school photo album where you print individual photos and slip them in? They usually have space for comments.

PaquitaVariation · 20/05/2020 12:18

I would arrange the pages in a digital book with space around them so that you can write in.

ilovelibraries · 20/05/2020 13:00

Thanks all. Sorry, I didn’t explain it very well.

I’m sure I’ve seen somewhere, a printed photo book which has blank areas especially for hand-written comments, which can be added later. I think maybe I will have to do as a few of you suggest, and just leave spaces around each photo unless anyone miraculously knows the website I was thinking of.

If add a text box, you could add lines to it instead of words like

for him to write on?

whoknows1230 · 20/05/2020 15:29

I've read my post back and it doesn't make sense! I was attempting to say "if you add a text box to the page, you could add lines to the text box (instead of typing words), like this:

and then he could write on the lines?

ilovelibraries · 20/05/2020 16:09

Ha, thanks @whoknows1230, I knew what you mean. I may well have to do that. I am sure I saw one with areas like speech bubbles (so a bit cooler for an 11 year old). Oh well, maybe I dreamt it.

Groupon, printer pix. Create a text box and leave it blank if you didn't want to type

MonsteraCheeseplant · 21/05/2020 08:01

Bonusprint (sounds similar to photobox but i've not used photobox) you can do it all online and add your own speech bubbles and blank areas for hand writing text.

MadameJosephine · 21/05/2020 08:14

Why don’t you take some photos of cool notepaper and speech bubbles and put them in the photobook to write on

Zelda93 · 21/05/2020 09:29

Printerpix do these books and usually groupon are doing vouchers so you can get one for about £5 I do one for my husband at Xmas to show what we've done in the year!!

ilovelibraries · 22/05/2020 09:37

Great, thanks. I'll take a look.
