I basically forgot to water this for 2 days. Prior to that, it looked amazing. DD had been cutting the grass etc and had done an amazing job with it. Now it’s a mess.

I can’t believe the change in 2 days, although they were such hot days so I’m guessing the strong sunshine shining into the window will have contributed.

I’ve no idea what the plant was behind the grass but it looks in a really bad way. I’ve watered it plenty this morning but I’m not sure if there’s anything else I can do to save it.

Please help!

Sorry about the typo in the title 🙈

Should say save not saving.

They provide such a shallow vessel in these kits, that there isnt much hope once the roots reach the bottom. I have always added a layer of gravel to the bottom for drainage (not provided in kit) so that the roots dont touch the water. But at some point it collapses.
Try to transfer the soil+plants to a deeper pot, (use a cake mover or flat plate, the grass should hold the spil in place). Use a deeper plantpit with a drainage hole at the bottom, and also an inch of gravel/stones/earthenware balls, then lots of soil (preferably garden rather than squidgy textureless shop-bought). Then place your garden on top, water a bit and keep out of brightest sunlight. Add extra seeds for the edges. Ta dahhh! May take a while but will then last through the summer.

My spelling is worse !
I mean, find a deeper plantpot with a hole at the bottom to let water out. Put in an inch of drainage material. Then fill with garden soil. Put your fairy garden on top, using a flat item to help if you need it.
The tray they supply in these kits is shite and means that these gardens are doomed after 6 weeks.
