Hello all,

I can't be the only pregnant (15 weeks) person and in need of dental care! I have a root canal issue which is now infected.

No dentist are open, and after calling 111 I have been told that I cannot go to an emergency hub as they are very busy with more serious cases and potentially dangerous due to covid... and now have been given antibiotics after a telephone consultation.

This is to maintain the infection until dentists open but they dont know when this is!!! So I am incredibly worried about taking antibiotics for a long period just because I can't get a treatment!

Surely pregnant women should be priority! We shouldn't be walking around with infections or take antibiotics long term!! Agh im so frustrated!

Does anyone know if anyone know of any information on this?!

As far as I know that’s the standard treatment for infection at the current time
Antibiotics and wait for you dentist to re open
It’s rubbish. It sucks. But being pregnant doesn’t change anything
Maybe call 111 again if you finish antibiotics and/or are still in pain
