Does anyone know if this is an important bit of washing machine?

It fell out the bottom yesterday when I moved it. (I'm hoping it'll limp along for a few months longer)

Remind me of a tampon applicator!

dementedpixie · 18/05/2020 09:45

Might not even be part of the machine

It might be something they put in before it leaves the factory, that's designed to stop the drum moving around during transport, but you're supposed to remove before using the machine.

If that's what it is, maybe it's just kind of worked itself out and lay under your machine for years.

@dementedpixie it works like a tampon applicator!

@BarbaraofSeville I took the bolts out of the back when I got it so not sure it'd be another one of them.

I'm just about to put it on now I've prised dd1 from her bed & have the bedding so I guess I'll find out...

Well, it seems to be working ok so far.

I think it looks like one of the legs of the machine. If it is I guess the machine could be a bit wobbly on the spin cycle 🙃😮🙂

I'm still none the wiser but the spin cycle was much less bang-y than it has been so I'm guessing it was in the way, whatever it is :)
