Tutti Bambini cozee air

I have bought one of the cozee bedside cribs but am a bit confused by the instructions. My bed is taller than the 58 cm stated but if I have the crib set to position 6 with the rocking leg on the side is higher than the mattress (which despite tutti bambini having lots of promotional material showing it used like that) is apparently a suffocation risk. I need to go to position 5 so that the top of the grey side rail (in drop down) is below the top of my mattress.

I wondered if anyone else had this crib
And how you have set it up? I'm finding the instructions really confusing.

Are you actually needing/wanting to use it as a side sleeper? We just use it like a Moses really and keep it with the side up but really close to our bed. I’m struggling a bit with visualising what you mean. Are you saying setting 5 is too low and 6 is too high?

Hi, yes that's it exactly. I haven't had my baby yet but had planned to use a side sleeper as i fed my others lying down. My husband sleeps like a dead person these days so I don't want the baby in with us.

The top of my mattress from the floor is 62cm. Tutti say maximum height is 58cm but once I put the rocker on the bottom if I am in the tallest position (6) the grey side (when dropped down) is higher than my mattress. If I go to the next position (5) then the grey top is slightly lower than my mattress (and the baby's mattress is obviously 5cm or so below.

I'm struggling to understand what it is meant to look like!!

I should have said lower than the top of my mattress. Not lower than the bottom. My mattress is extra deep.

Just watched the little video to remind myself. It says the crib bracket ( it’s in barely visible red writing on the video) must be no higher than the mattress. I don’t know what this means re the side as it’s the bracket specifically they are talking about. Not sure if that helps you.
