You know the one you stick on when you feel like crap and you just want to veg on the sofa with a duvet?

Mine is Pride and prejudice or shrek, I've seen them both so many times but I'm getting a bit sick of them, so what's yours?

The Mummy with Brendan Fraser. Perfect escapism and mild undead horror. I love it.

zipzap02 · 17/05/2020 08:04

The holiday

SallyLovesCheese · 17/05/2020 08:11

My Big Fat Greek Wedding. My mum posted me the DVD when I was early 20s and depressed as a surprise, with a little note saying it was fun and worth a watch. I cried over that little present but ever since it's become my go-to film if I need a bit of cheering up.

ProseccoSupernova · 17/05/2020 08:40

Pretty woman, dirty dancing, or Beaches if I want a good cry! 🤣

RedScarf · 17/05/2020 08:40

The Wedding Date is mine OP Grin if I’m feeling a bit down or unwell.

If I’m hungover I’ll want to watch The Sweetest Thing

SuperPixie247 · 17/05/2020 08:41

I came on to say Pride Smile

Or 10 Things I Hate About You or The Breakfast Club

Busytizzy · 17/05/2020 09:26

Cool Runnings! Funny, colourful and feel-good.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 17/05/2020 09:44

Confessions of a shopaholic if I need my chick flick fix. For pure escapism I go to Star Wars. If I'm in a darker mood my all time favourite is Insidious. It's a brilliant horror film, gives me scares and cheers me up!

DesmondTheMoonbear · 17/05/2020 09:46

Far and Away
Sister Act
Fright Night

There are others but I can't think of them right now.

BladeOGrass · 17/05/2020 10:49

OldHollywood · 17/05/2020 10:51

Pride & Prejudice too. I'm watching it tonight and I am looking forward to it so much, I find it so comforting.

MayorPrentiss · 17/05/2020 10:53

Much Ado About Nothing. Makes me laugh and cry. Although I feel so old now that Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh look young to me. All I want is to live in a Shakespearean comedy in rural italy and fall in love in a convoluted way with a handsome nobleman returning from a glorious war. Is it really too much to ask?
