Is this a sign of impending puberty?

Dd is 8.5. I've noticed the last few days that in part of her face where her cheeks meet the nostrils, the area is starting to look a little red with little tiny lumps. Almost like a greasyness.

I'll pick up some Simple face wash for her and see if that does anything. But I wondered if this was an indicator of puberty?

She is very tall (almost 5 foot) with size 3 feet so I've been expecting her to hit puberty before 10 anyways.

Has anyone else noticed this on their child?

Not in my experience.

There is a condition called periorbital dermatitis which my daughter had about his age in that area...she reacted to toothpaste strangely enough but it settled after a while. My 3 teen daughters didn’t show this at all with puberty.

Thats not puberty.
