I'm trying to go into work to pick up some equipment

so I can finally work from home but I had a panic attack yesterday and now I can't seem to get any words out.

I have already been in the building but couldn't speak to anyone. Am now outside getting some fresh air and trying to go back in.

Why is this simple task so hard?

I want to get it done today. They told me to come in today to get the things they have ordered for me.

I have already lost a days pay because I had to leave yesterday when it got too much.

Can you ring anyone and ask them to bring it to the door for you? Just tell them that you’re having a difficult time at the minute.,

LostMyVoice · 14/05/2020 12:04

If I can't manage going back in then I might try the engine instead yeah.

You sound in a really bad way tbh

I'd go home, ring the doctor and get signed off sick

Is this Covid fear OP?

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 14/05/2020 16:33

This is mental.

What a lovely compassionate answer. You really should consider working in mental health. 🙄

pooopypants · 14/05/2020 16:36

this is mental

Well, aren't you a fucking peach Hmm. I assume you've never suffered from stress / anxiety?

You should consider a career in mental health. Or, you know, fuck off somewhere else and be 'helpful' there. The OP clearly needs support, not your crap

LostMyVoice · 14/05/2020 20:11

But I didn't know where the things I was supposed to pick up were which is why I needed to ask someone. But I couldn't speak.

Doesn't matter anyway because when I went onto Skype the person I was supposed to be asking wasn't even available. And my scedule for today had actually been updated to sick anyways so I guess I must have been in a really bad way yesterday.

I can speak now anyway so I will just get them tomorrow.

I don't know why but when I went into work yesterday morning I just panicked Blush.

You need some time off to be calm I think. Next time (if there is one) make sure a clear plan is in place beforehand. Write it down if that helps so you can slide a note to someone across the reception desk if you can talk. CakeFlowersWine

Dead2me · 14/05/2020 20:15

It’s not mental 🙄

Anxiety attacks happen, sorry this happened op, don’t feel embarrassed 😊

FrogFairy · 14/05/2020 20:58

When you go tomorrow, could you text someone to bring the stuff out and put it in your boot? You could step out of the car to a safe distance.

Molly333 · 14/05/2020 21:15

This is mental - what an awful response . People come on here for support and reassurance and that was neither. Comments like that make me think how do you support those u love and care about ?

LostMyVoice · 14/05/2020 23:13

I think I will be fine tomorrow. It's just been a weird couple of days.
