Do you have rice and onions? Pilaf/risotto thing.

Fry off the lardons and chorizo with some onions, add rice and hot water and a stock cube. Chop up green beans and add to pan. Cook until soft.

Any eggs? I'd shove it all in a quiche if so. Well, maybe not all of it but a good proportion!

Have you got an onion or two and some thyme (ideally fresh, but dried OK)? I'd go for a variation on a tarte flambee - slice onion thinly, stir in the creme fraiche, seasoning, and thyme, leave them for about 20 mins. Meantime, roll out the pastry to the size of a baking sheet, pop the pastry on the sheet. Add the onion mix on top, leaving a border round the outside. Top with cheddar, grated, then the lardons, bake in the oven for 20 mins or so, until lardons and pastry are browned. Serve with the green beans, or a green salad if you have it, plus wine.

Yes I’ve got onion. No fresh thyme but I do have dried. Also have eggs but am not a fan of quiche.

I was coming on to suggest a fakey flammekuche like One suggests, and also to stir-fry the green beans with the chorizo and some toasted flaked almonds.

Have you any jam? Make jam tarts for pudding.
