Anyone else’s child due to go to Italy with school in Feb 2021?

What do we think the chances are of it going ahead? I personally think slim at present, although still having to pay the monthly payments in case it does go ahead. What have your dcs school said are they assuming for now it will go ahead? Will you be happy with sending your dc?
Feel sorry for ds as he took a part time job to help pay for it and was so looking forward to it.

Our Jan 2021 trip for the kids has been cancelled. Lots of parents no longer being able to afford it now and school insurance not covering the risk of infection.

@TheProf oh that’s interesting, when were you told it was cancelled? I haven’t spoke to anyone in school about it since March, just be diligently making the monthly payment until o hear otherwise on the basis it would be refunded if cancelled...

Have they refunded all the money you’ve paid?

It was cancelled under the govt guidelines of travel being suspended indefinitely and for the safety of the kids.

Unfortunately, the travel company are still saying they will run trips so we're going to lose our £150 non refundable deposit... which is rubbish but I can deal with that. I've got all the other money back.

We were told on the 29th April.

My eldest was going to Spain in November with school, this has been cancelled.
