Crap, kitchen sink has started to leak. What should I do?

It’s the part at the bottom of the ‘u’ shaped pipe. It’s just a little but I’m petrified of water after a top floor flat disaster! What should I do?

Tighten up the joints or pop to b and q for a replacement part. Easy to take apart and easy to screw a new one on. Pop a bucket underneath while you're about it to catch the small amount of water in the u bend. I take mine off a couple of times a year anyway to clean it out.

And take the old one to b and q with you to get the right size although mostly standard.

Short term, put a container under the drip, use a washing up bowl in the sink and empty it in your bathroom rather than down the sink. You won't have a drip if no water if going down the sink. Longer term, either get a plumber to look at it or buy a replacement 'trap' They are quite easy to fit, although unscrewing the old one can be a challenge if it is very tightly screwed on

Tightening it seems to have worked 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Thank you. I’ve just washed up from breakfast and underneath is dry, but I’ve stuck a tub there too just in case.

Thanks Flowers
