My toddler wont give up his milk bottle

Help!
I've done everything I can think of and must now have every sippy cup / beaker on the market but my little boy will only drink milk and only from a bottle. I've tried cutting the teet so that it's a free flowing hole now rather than a sucky bottle but that doesnt make a difference. He will go all day without a drink if I dont give him a bottle.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions welcome! Feel like I'm failing at this.

Yes, my four year old has a bottle for milk because it’s a comfort but drinks water out of a cup. I honestly don’t care about the bottle.

DD had one last bottle at bedtime until she was 3. She drank from a cup in the day though (not much mind).

I was a hill I wasn't willing to die on Blush

I'd probably try to cut out the daytime bottles and offer drinks in a cup, but lots of wet food (fruit, etc) so he doesn't get dehydrated. Maybe up the cheese and yoghurt if you want to replace the milk.
