Period 12 days late. Test negative. Could I still be pregnant?

Just that, really. I was due on 12 days ago, but still no sign. I'm usually like clockwork.

I tested on Friday, but it was negative.

How likely is it to get a false negative? I'm wondering if I could still be pregnant, and how long to leave it before I test again. Can it be normal to skip a period?

I’ve skipped last month’s. Never happened before, so I guess it’s the stress and change of routine etc. There was a thread on mumsnet with about 200 replies reporting same thing.

Really? That's interesting. I wonder if it's some odd side effect of lock down then 🤷

Something called an anovulatory (sp??) cycle, I had one once during a particularly stressful time. Apparently it's quite common for your body to skip releasing an egg 🤷🏻‍♀️

Didn't stop me from spending that whole next month anxiously worrying I might be pg!

Interesting. I mean I don't feel hugely stressed, but maybe the huge routine shift is the cause. ( I might just buy another test to be sure though!)
